Luke Kelly was an Irish singer and musician, best known as a founding member of the folk group The Dubliners. Born on November 17, 1940, in Dublin, Kelly became renowned for his powerful voice and passionate performances, which played a key role in popularizing Irish folk music.
Kelly’s deep connection to Irish culture and working-class roots influenced his music, and he became a voice for social justice through his songs. He helped bring traditional Irish music to a global audience, with hits like “The Wild Rover” and “Raglan Road.”
