Luke Kelly was a founding member of The Dubliners and one of the most influential voices in Irish folk music. Born in Dublin in 1940, he became known for his powerful singing style and strong stage presence.

Throughout the 1960s and 1970s he played a central role in the growth of the folk music scene. His performances and recordings helped bring traditional Irish songs to wider audiences across Ireland and abroad.

Today he is regarded as an important figure in modern Irish music history, remembered for his contribution to folk culture and the legacy he left in Irish performance and songwriting.
