Dunluce stands on a rocky headland along the Antrim coast and is one of Ireland’s best known medieval castles. Much of the structure dates from the 16th and 17th centuries, although the site has been occupied since earlier times.

The castle was the stronghold of the MacDonnell clan and played an important role in the history of the region. Its dramatic position overlooking the sea made it both a strategic fortress and a symbol of power.

Today, the ruins attract visitors from around the world and remain one of Ireland’s most photographed historic landmarks. The site is recognised for its historical significance and spectacular coastal setting.
