Traditional music has been played here for generations, including through the 1950s, 60s and 70s when Irish traditional music was less prominent in many city pubs. Regular sessions have continued for decades, helping establish the venue as an important part of Cork’s music scene.

The name comes from the Irish phrase meaning “That’s it”, a reference to the funeral parlour that was once located next door. The building itself also has an unusual history, having previously housed a wheelwright and a saddler.

Today, it remains a popular meeting place for musicians, locals and visitors, with traditional music continuing to be a central part of the experience.
